Cutler Magner’s chemical lime is produced in Superior, WI by its subsidiary CLM Corporation. Limestone is quarried from mines in Michigan and delivered by self-unloading bulk freighters to the CLM dock. CLM maintains one of the largest man-trolley bridges in North America to handle the volumes of limestone processed at this facility. Three types of limestone are calcined at the Superior facility to produce high calcium quicklime, high calcium hydrated lime, dolomitic quicklime and PCC quicklime. CLM lime products meet ASTM, NSF and AWWA Standards. Chemical lime produced at Cutler’s facility supplies end users in a multitude of industries including: municipal water treatment, paper making, steel production, sugar manufacturing, SO2 scrubbing, environmental processes, municipal wastewater treatment and agricultural and soil stabilization applications. CLM Corporation is also a major supplier of finely ground limestone for various mining and manufacturing processes throughout the Midwest. Lime and limestone products from Cutler’s Superior facility are distributed by truck and rail throughout the Midwest and Canada. |
